Sherbet and Ice Cream

Guess what we got for Christmas, an Ice Cream/Sherbet Maker. Here are some of the things we have so far. Currently heavy on the citrus, because that is what we have the most of growing in our yard. Our original inspiration for the citrus recipes was an Orange Sorbet (#126086) from www.recipezarr.com This is great for kids to make, but probably not a big bunch of kids. If you make the sugar syrup ahead of time and chill it, then the Sherbets can be made immediately. I let the kids juice the fruits, mix everything together and sample frequently.
New season, new fruit. We have tried strawberries and peaches which are delicous. Then we created our own version of Chunky Monkey (Pudgy Primate) which is a Banana with walnuts and chocolate - a home run!. Have not tried apples or plums, but maybe next year.
